Highways England is looking to set up a contract for the provision of services to assist with a comprehensive review of asphalt recycling in England, with a view to increasing the recycled content of asphalt materials used on the SRN in the short- to medium-term. The end product of this research project shall be proposals for revising the requirements in the DMRB and specifications in the MCHW that relate to asphalt recycling, in order to increase the recycled content of asphalt laid on the SRN, whilst maintaining or increasing the level of performance of these materials.
