Sizewell C, Radio Maintenance Work/031

Sizewell C (SZC) is a new nuclear build located in Suffolk, as part of our critical path SZC requires radio and maintenance support across site. The scope of the works is detailed below:

Radio Handset Maintenance:

On site engineers required to manage the handsets in terms of new channel and handset requests, handsets maintenance, returns, usage analysis, stock of spare etc.

Preventative Maintenance:

Regular Activities required to ensure zero downtime and system working as it should

Physical checks on repeaters

Interrogate the system

Check the fans with radio cabinets

Walk/coverage checks

RF Test

Other Key Activities:

Monitoring - Alarms checked 24/7 via remote system. All none service alarms triaged and resolved reactively to avoid any down time.

Weekend and out of hours call out - Engineers to attend reactively for urgent faults

Enhancements - design and build of new equipment required due to increased construction activity. Due to extend of the instruction coverage will be required in the Deep dig area in the tunnels and galleries. Leaky feeder, DAS systems, repeaters to be used.

Temporary site - in the event of black spots and interference issues a temporary site may need to be deployed.

Reporting - Monthly reporting confirming results from preventative maintenance, radio usage, faults, potential enhancements required

Training - on site engineers to provide hands on training to workforce on radio handsets.
