description
The University of Bristol is undertaking a feasibility study for the creation of two containment level 3 (CL3) laboratories. This report will include an outline design brief.
The University intends to appoint a Principal Contractor (as defined under CDM15) who will develop & complete the design and undertake the necessary construction work in addition to the M&E and fit-out, including the equipment. The Principal Contractors specialist design team will need to work closely with the University with finalising the design and agreeing the logistics to undertake the construction and fit-out works.
Due to the specialisms required to deliver a CL3 laboratory, the University wishes to inform the market in advance that this procurement exercise will be undertaken, to gain an understanding of market capability to deliver such works as Principal Contractor.
Through this early engagement notice the University is looking for expressions of interest from suitably experienced contractors interested in working with the University to deliver these works. Such contractors are invited to respond to this PIN by sending a short email to aw14701@bristol.ac.uk. This should include:
- contact details,
- a short summary (1/2 page maximum) of previous relevant works delivered
- likely interest in biding for such procurement
- and observations or any information you feel is relevant, or suggestions on how your organisation could add value through delivery of this contract.
Any information received will not be evaluated or used to award a contract, but will be used to inform and shape the procurement route followed.
Following consideration of the written submissions the University may wish to engage in further discussions with the respondents.
Please respond by 6th March 2020.
