A47 Blofield - CCTV (Roadworks)

NOTIFICATION OF SUBCONTRACT PACKAGE

A47 Blofield to North Burlingham Dualling:

Galliford Try are delivering the A47 Blofield to North Burlingham Dualling project in the county of Norfolk on behalf of National Highways. The project will replace the existing single-lane section of the A47 between Blofield and North Burlingham with a new two-lane dual carriageway 70m South of the existing road length and is 5km in length including safety improvements to the existing junctions.

Outline Scope of Works:

Provision of temporary CCTV for Roadworks for the construction of the A47 Blofield to North Burlingham Dual Carriageway. Including, but not limited to, installation, maintenance, relocation & removal of temporary CCTV units (columns or standalone units), provision of CCTV Control Room with proactive 24 hours CCTV monitoring.

The project will accept proposals of remote cameras rooms, where remote access to the cameras is provided to the site team and national highways. The use of stop vehicle detection is welcome as an aid, not as a replacement for active monitoring by staff.

CCTV Staff will provide a central point of co-ordination with regards to incident management with responsibility for contacting the emergency services, dispatching recovery, updating the National Highways Regional Operations Centre, co-ordinating with the Traffic Safety Supervisor and recording of information and production of incident records. The CCTV contractor will be responsible for helping the project achieve an arrival time to incidents under 15 minutes and clearance within an hour. Temporary CCTV is to be provided in accordance with Manual of Contract Documents for Highways works.

All interested contractors should hold all the relevant certification, qualifications and experience of providing this type of work.

It is anticipated that the above scope of works will commence in March 2025

Deadline for Notifications of Interest 17:30 hrs on 4th December 2024.

Galliford Try Procurement Process:

To secure work with Galliford Try, a supplier will need to pass the PAS91 onboarding process administered through Builders Profile. Details will be shared with shortlisted Subcontractors.
