A47 Tuddenham to Easton - FENCING & GATES INC ACOUSTIC BARRIER

NOTIFICATION OF SUBCONTRACT PACKAGE

A47 North Tuddenham to Easton Scheme:

Galliford Try, as one of the East Region Delivery Integration Partners, is delivering the A47 North Tuddenham to Easton project in the County of Norfolk on behalf of National Highways. This project, which is part of major improvements to the existing A47, replaces the existing single carriageways between North Tuddenham and Easton with a dual carriageway, linking the existing dual carriageway at North Tuddenham to the Southern Norwich Bypass at Easton. The route is offline and crosses the existing A47 at three separate locations.

Package: Fencing & Gates Inc Acoustic Barrier

Outline Scope of Works

The Subcontractor shall provide all labour, equipment, and materials to design, supply, and install fencing, gates, and acoustic barriers in accordance with Specification Appendix 300 Series and Specification Appendix 25/4 Environmental Barriers. The works include but not limited to:

Timber and Wire Fencing:

Timber post and 4-rail fencing (1.40m high) to HCD H3 with Type 3.

Badger-proof mesh to HCD H46.

Strainer wire fencing for accommodation fencing to HCD H13.

Cycling chicane with two staggered sections of post and 4-rail fencing (1.00m long) to HCD H3.

Gates:

Single steel field gate (4.585m wide) to HCD H17.

Single steel half-mesh field gate (4.570m wide) to HCD H18.

Timber single field gate (3.500m wide) to HCD H21.

Specialist Fencing:

Anti-glare fencing:

2.0m high timber close-boarded fence to HCD H14.

Acoustic Barriers:

Absorptive Class A3 noise fencing (Sound Insulation Category B2, Insertion Loss 6.7dB, 3.0m high).

Reflective noise fencing (Sound Insulation Category B2):

3.0m high with Insertion Loss of 3.4dB.

2.0m high with Insertion Loss of 2.4dB.

Full details and specifications will be provided to the successfully shortlisted suppliers. Suppliers should be aware of the scale of this project and should assess their internal capabilities to be able to carry out the intended scope of works, prior to completing this expression of interest (EOI).

All interested contractors should hold all the relevant certification, qualifications and experience of providing this type of work.

Programme:

It is anticipated that the above scope of works will commence in June 2025
