Agri-EPI Centre is seeking bids from qualified and experienced suppliers for a light-duty rugged field robot. This will be used for product development and operational tests with associates who do not operate their own robotics platform and are developing components or support systems and methods. For our initial and immediate requirement, we are seeking to acquire what will be regarded as a platform rather than a full agricultural system, with the intention that non-navigational sensors, actuators, and additional functions will be integrated by third parties for their own development. Therefore, a key principle of this platform is that it is supplied with the intention of being open to integration of additional software and hardware components without the need for the direct interaction of the platform OEM.
