Leicester City Council?s Arts and Museum Service wishes to appoint a Supplier who has the necessary skill, expertise and proven experience to pack and move museum objects in accordance with standards as designated to us being an accredited museum service.

The Arts and Museum Service have two removals projects that they require undertaking:

  1. Packing (protectively), crating and moving approximately two tonnes of iron fixtures and fittings that make up the Robert Stephenson Lift bridge, built originally in 1834.
  1. Packing and move a variety of industrial objects (machinery/small carts etc).

The dismantled bridge and the industrial objects are currently stored at two different locations in Leicester but will be moved to another location. All sites are within the Leicester City boundary in the LE1/LE2/LE4 postcode areas.

Site visits are mandatory to quote for the removal and on the following dates:

Time: Appointment time will be between the hours 9am to 3pm.

This is a one-off requirement.
