WP3279 - Application to join a Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision of Passenger Transport Services

The Council is issuing this Application to join a DPS for the provision of Passenger Transport Services for the Council for adults and children and those with requirements as detailed in the Specification. It is intended to commence the DPS in July-August and operate for a period of 5 years with the option to extend for a further 5 years, up to 10 years in total. Suppliers who are reapplying or new suppliers may apply to join the DPS at any time during this period.

The scope of the service includes the following categories but may be extended to include any similar services required by the Council during the period of the DPS:

• School Contracts for Home to school transport for children with special educational needs
• Route Contracts for Mainstream schools (in borough)
• Route Contracts for Out of borough schools
• Route Contracts for Respite
• Route Contracts for Looked after children
• Route Contracts for Parenting programmes
• Route Contracts for Adult social care

The aim of the service is to provide an efficient, reliable, value for money transport service for school children and adults with additional needs, from their place of residence to the schools and/or day care services and other establishments, predominately within the Walsall borough, although some out of borough provision is required.
