Development of the PA Market in Walsall
Walsall Council would like to explore what level of interest there is amongst the market to develop the PA Market in Walsall.
The concept of personalisation and the development of Individual Budgets provides the opportunity for people to choose to become employers of their own paid support staff in order to achieve the outcomes of their support plan.
Having sufficient numbers of the right people with the right skills, knowledge, values and qualifications to meet the current and future demand for care and support will be crucial to the supply of a high quality workforce.
This piece of work is designed to develop the market and choice in Personal Assistant support for social care users and carers.

This support is in delivering a ‘wrap around’ service with outcomes which include: reducing social isolation/maximising social inclusion, transport training/access, respite and escorting for personal safety or other reasons.
