description

Quotations are required for the provision of the Safe Places scheme across Kirklees.

Over the last 6 years, Mencap in Kirklees (the current Service Provider) have developed and established an effective Safe Places scheme across Kirklees, currently with 138 sites (successfully evidenced by the logo displayed) and 544 members.

Safe Places schemes by definition are venues in the community where people can go if they are feeling unsafe confused or distressed for whatever reason, or are experiencing what might be described as a hate crime. People at Safe Places scheme venues will have received training and will be able to help.

We are interested in continuing to develop the Safe Places scheme which is Kirklees wide. The project is aimed at all vulnerable client groups especially people with a learning disability, elderly people with dementia and potentially any vulnerable disabled person from the age of 16+.

It is envisaged that the contract will take place over 2 years from April 2018.

There is a fixed annual budget for the project of no more than £20,000 (This equates to £40,000 over the two years).
