Research contract to assess the current provisions in Approved Document B (ADB) regarding structural fire resistance and fire-separating elements, by establishing the underpinning evidence base, and reviewing alternative approaches.

The project will review the current effectiveness and appropriateness of guidance within ADB regarding structural fire resistance and fire separating elements in meeting the minimum requirements of Schedule 1 Part B of the Building Regulations 2010.

This contract has been awarded following a mini competition under the CCS - Research Marketplace Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) ref RM6018.
