description
The Authority is looking to appoint a suitably capable and experienced supplier to undertake its Internal Drainage Boards Research project.
The overall objectives of the research are to understand how to better support IDBs in establishing and maintaining a wide board membership including specialist expertise where needed, and how to encourage and support active engagement by members in board meetings.
The main requirements are ;
| 1. | To identify and assess how local authorities can support greater Internal Drainage Boards (IDB) accountability via their role in appointing IDB board members |
| 2. | Understand the factors which influence IDB governance and in particular boards having a wide and diverse membership with active engagement by members. |
The research will need to engage separately with IDBs and local authority and co-opted IDB board members and decision-makers.
The term of the contract is six (6) months with an option to extend for up a further six (6) months.
The contract is expected to commence on 24th September 2018
