Description of the service:
Pre-call for competition market-testing survey:
DfE are in the early stages of scoping out an evaluation of new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provision for classroom teachers.
Suppliers are invited to complete a short pre-call for competition survey about:
| • | Use of action research with schools / teachers |
| • | Use of technology and innovation to reduce burden and / or support engagement in research |
| • | Reporting / sharing emerging learning to influence policy, and practice, in real-time |
Responses to this survey will contribute to:
| • | Understanding of the appropriateness and potential to apply different approaches to collection or reporting, including innovations and those more-commonly used in market research or other sectors |
| • | Understanding any changes in the market that may influence requirements |
And, shape any future call for competition and consideration of:
| • | the case to include any specific approaches in the core ask, and / or |
| • | the benefit of contractors of having more scope to shape the design and / or innovate. |

Points to note:
| • | There is no associated fee for responding to the survey. |
| • | Supplier decision to respond to the pre-competition survey will NOT affect the opportunity to respond to any future Call for Competition. This assumes such Potential Providers remain eligible to submit proposals at the time the Call for Competition is issued. |
| • | Neither the decision to respond nor the content of responses will be considered as part of the evaluation of any future Call for Competition. |
| • | Survey responses will not be shared with any other supplier. |
| • | Suppliers can choose to respond without providing the name of the organisation or contact details. |
| • | Suppliers are invited to confirm willingness to take part in a follow-up conversation and provide contact details. However, this will NOT be used for analytical purposes. |
| • | Suppliers do not have to respond to all questions. |
| • | Responses may inform the specification and requirements in a future Call for Competition |
| • | Commercially sensitive information will not be used a Call for Competition - Suppliers are invited to flag anything of this nature / not to be included in the specification. However, IF other suppliers reference the same / similar approaches but do not flag them as commercially sensitive this may be included in the specification. |
