description
NHS Hillingdon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is exploring the delivery of a Community Chronic Pain Service to patients.
The CCG is inviting interested parties to engage with it on future provision of this service with a view to seeking input and feedback from potential providers to help inform the CCG as it considers its requirements and routes to market.
Hillingdon CCG envisage a future Community Chronic Pain Service model consisting of a multi-disciplinary team that can deal with patients physical, psychological and social needs associated with pain. It should look to ensure patients experiencing chronic pain do not need to be managed in secondary care settings, or where they do need specialist interventions, that their care is transferred back to a community setting once complete (if necessary).
A draft Memorandum of Information (MoI), draft service specification and five pathways from the British Pain society’s Map of Medicine are available for review. An engagement questionnaire has also been developed to capture input from providers to help inform the CCG’s key decisions around this service.
Details around the indicative contract value and indications of potential activity levels can be found in the MoI.
Note: An expression of interest is no indication of a commitment to participate in any subsequent procurement process, nor does it infer any special status on those providers who do submit an interest. Neither will this notice or any organisation’s expression of interest commit the CCG to undertake any procurement of the Community Chronic Pain Services & the CCG has a right to withdraw the notice.
***Providers are invited to express their interest in the early engagement via emailing the completed questionnaire to alex_long@nhs.net. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS is 12 NOON, 7TH AUGUST 2015.
