Complex Needs Services in Worcestershire

The purpose of the Tender is to develop a Framework for service providers which will then be used to call off the delivery of a Complex Needs Pathway. The Pathway is for people that have a diagnosis of and LD and/or ASD who's needs are assessed as complex, due to comorbidity and require support and intervention that is over and above support offered within a standard supporting living environment. These people present with behaviours that have challenged services and led to multiple placement breakdowns and/or in-patient admissions.

The Pathway is being developed to support this group of people and the provision will be inclusive of a multi-disciplinary team. This Pathway will aim to develop and provide services to people with complex needs identified on our Dynamic Support Register (DSR). This will be across the health and social care footprint.

Estimated volumes based on last years throughput will be: 40.

The Service Specification included in the documents provided sets out the Council's requirements in Worcestershire for the provision of:

? Lot 1 Nurse Led Residential with MDT (Multi Disciplinary Team)

? Lot 2 Residential with access to MDT

? Lot 3 Enhanced Supported Living with access to MDT

? Lot 4 Enhanced Supported Living

Tenderers can submit a bid for one or more Lots.

The successful tenderer(s) will be expected to enter into a Contract with the Council which will commence October 2020 until October2023, with the option of a one-year extension. The term of the contract could therefore potentially be 4 years dependent on funding and performance.

It is anticipated that other public bodies across Herefordshire and Worcestershire will have access to the Framework to call off for placement opportunities.
