The re-tendering project is for the continued provision of Youth Detention Accommodation operating under Secure Training Centre Rules 1998 ("STC Rules") and forms part of the Ministry of Justices Transforming Youth Custody (TYC) Programme.

STCs are purpose built facilities that odder secure provision to vulnerable young people, male and female, aged 12-17 who are remanded to secure accommodation, sentenced by the courts to custody or serving civil orders. Rainsbook STC includes a bespoke unit for mothers and babies.

Services will also include delivery of education , addressing offending behaviours and working with partners and young people to improve he chances of successful resettlement.
