description
Over a period of up to six months to meet with the assistant directors on an individual basis and work with them to ascertain how they are following a period of exponential growth across the NMC and in some cases have moved into new roles or are in the early stages of taking up a new role. The frequency of follow up meetings will be agreed between the Director, People and Organisational Effectiveness, the consultancy firm and the Assistant Directors.
We are seeking to gain an insight on their engagement levels and their perception of how their roles underpin strategic delivery of both directorate and corporate objectives currently and in the NMC plan 2020-2025.
We seek to gain an understanding of how they feel about their roles; what they think they have brought to a new directorate in this early start-up phase and how a phased implementation approach may affect how they perform in their roles and as the directorate establishes itself, a new operational model is implemented, and more organisation wide responsibilities are placed on it. Currently, these are growing at a significant pace. We are also interested to learn of any barriers to success that they think hinders their performance. Their perception of how they see the directorate developing would be valuable in shaping future discussions. This is an opportunity to gauge their thinking and an opportunity for the NMC to articulate an operational model that they will need to be fully cognisant and enable their teams to take ownership of the relevant responsibilities.
