Air Dropped Weapons Disposal

Specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal & Search, Exploitation & Countermeasures (SEEC) Delivery Team (DT) are considering initiating the Air Dropped Weapons (ADW) Disposal programme. The programme consists of a total of 5 projects.

The requirement is for the procurement and in-service support of COTS equipment for Projects 1 and 2 as set out below. Each contract is expected to have a duration of five years with options to extend by an additional two years. Projects 3-5 will be advertised in a subsequent PIN.

Project 1: Remote Cased Entry

• oA mobile abrasive water jet cutting tool capable of piercing and cutting through a WWII munitions to enable removal of Net Explosive Quantity (NEQ) without causing the target to High Order. (Approx qty 5) (Approx £8.8m)

Project 2: Bespoke Low Order

• oA User Filled Container Charge system capable of penetrating WWII munition casings to allow for either mechanical breakup of the target or deflagration without causing the target to High Order. (Approx qty 100) (Approx 4.2m).
