Occupational Health 2016-2019

Portsmouth City Council, ''the Authority'' has an on-going requirement to provide occupational health provision for all staff within the Authority and its traded partnerships.

The Authority is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced provider to deliver a high quality responsive service. It will be essential to work closely with the Authority and our partners to help reduce absence levels and increase wellbeing for staff.

The Authority has a workforce of 6,439 employees and provides a range of services which includes Social Services, Schools and also Portsmouth International Port. Currently we have 3707 council staff and 2732 school staff. Individuals that work in a diverse range of roles could be referred to Occupational Health including those engaged in; technical, professional, manual, craft, administrative and managerial occupations.

The Authority is targeting to have awarded the contract by 13th June 2016 with a subsequent commencement date of 18th July 2016.

The estimated value of the contract is IRO £65,000 per annum.

The initial contract period will be for 3 years with possibility of extending the term by a further 3 years to a maximum total term of 6 years in increments to be agreed, subject to the agreement and performance of both parties.
