Primary Eye Care Extended Services for Stockport CCG

Expressions of Interest are invited from appropriately experienced and capable providers to commence an engagement with Stockport CCG to assist the CCG to develop its commissioning intentions for the future provision of Primary Eye Care Extended Services. Current commissioning assumptions are that the service is likely to involve a contract for 3 to 5 years with a value of £3,400,000 over 5 years, commencing on the 1st April 2021.

While the CCGS's requirement consists of four distinct service areas (Covid-19 urgent Eyecare Service, Minor Eye Condition Service, Pre & Post Cataract Assessment Service & Glaucoma Repeat Readings) it is envisaged that a single provider will be contracted to deliver these services.

Responses to this engagement will be helpful to the CCG which plans to engage further with those providers which do express an interest, which may also include sharing updates of the future service intentions as specifications and commercial assumptions become more clearly defined
