description
The Government announced the ROHSS fund back in May 2020 which has helpedcouncil's introduce a range of safety measures in a move to get people back to workand customers back to the shops. Under the funding guidelines, councils can use thismoney to develop local marketing campaigns to the public and reassure them that theirhigh streets and other commercial areas are safe.We need to carry out a communications and public information campaign now toensure that the reopening of our local economies can be managed successfully andsafely. As a local authority we want to effectively communicate to our residents their role inensuring that the local economy can reopen safely.Any communications campaign will need to consider how messaging to the public andbusinesses will fit in with existing council messages. Public Health run the '3 steps tosafety campaign', plus ongoing Coronavirus guidance and restriction measure fromGovernment and Public Health England. There are also 'place' marketing campaigns totake into consideration (see background information for further details). We are asking agencies to submit proposals for:a) An East Riding ROHSS marketing campaignb) An East Riding ROHSS campaign delivery plan
