description

The Patrol Planning course will enable participants to develop and prepare participants to plan both routine and targeted patrols. This course will provide and equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and expertise to be able to effectively plan patrols and operations across a range of standing environmental tasks and operating environments. Having completed the planning phase, participants will be able to issue orders and direction to subordinate units tasked with conducting patrols and operations.

The Patrol Skills course will enhance operational units to be able to conduct both routine and deliberate operations that vary both in nature and in the operating environment in which they are conducted. The course will focus on patrolling skills (vehicle and foot patrols), mobility, communications and observation. A series of field exercises will enable personnel to put theory into practice and develop operational skills in realistic operating environments.
