description
To support our drive to improve the effectiveness of governance, we want governing boards to have access to high quality advice to assist them in the performance of their duties. The successful bidder will need to provide high quality advice in response to the specific circumstances or issues faced by a governing board in their particular situation. Advice may need to be provided within short timescales, for example just before and even during a governing board meeting. The successful bidder must provide high quality advice to requests relating to any state funded educational institutions in England that provide education to pupils of compulsory school age (including secondary institutions that have a 6th Form). This includes all establishments that are maintained by a local authority and those establishments with whom the Secretary of State has entered into academy arrangements, i.e. primary and secondary maintained schools and academies, special schools and special academies, free schools, UTCs, studio schools and alternative provision institutions that are maintained or are academies. Tenderers are free to determine how the service will meet the requirements of its customers Tenderers are invited to propose the channels they deem appropriate to the nature of the tailored advice they will provide; which could include traditional or new approaches, such as through other digital solutions.
