description

NHS Brent CCG requires a provider of outpatient Cardiology in a community setting with the ability to do evening and weekend clinics. The Service will provide a Service User-centered model of care from the Provider premises. It will provide clear improvements to the patient experience, Service User safety and clinical outcomes. The Service will integrate effectively with the Brent Health Economy, and the Commissioner expects the Service Users' pathway to be seamless. This includes integrating with other Providers in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Care to reduce the risk of duplication or discontinuity of services.

Whilst the present service has been successfully delivered offering good value for money, NHS Brent CCG now wishes to understand if there is any additional interest in delivering the Community Cardiology Service providing out-of-hospital experience and outcomes to our patients at locally agreed tariffs with the addition of evening and weekend clinics. NHS Brent CCG is therefore looking for available alternative options to the current service provision, but with extended access.

Please see the attached DRAFT service specification for further information about the Community Cardiology Service.

It is intended that the contract to be offered is for 3 years, with the CCG reserving the right to extend this for up to a further 2 years.

Additional information: ***INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ASKED TO RETURN THE ATTACHED QUESTIONNAIRE TO: ekkehard_kugler@nhs.net REFERENCING ' COMMUNITY CARDIOLOGY SERVICE' IN THE TITLE. THE DEADLINE FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST IS 5pm ON 24 JULY 2017***

Whilst your response will not form part of any potential subsequent procurement application, your response, or lack of response will inform NHS Brent CCG whether or not it is appropriate to award a contract directly, or via a competitive process. If a competitive process is to take place, it is likely that this will commence from late August 2017 to enable a new service to commence ASAP thereafter.
