description
The NTU Sport Department is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary sports management department. It encourages and supports individuals and teams to develop their potential through sport and physical activity. NTU is now firmly established as one of the top competitors in the UK higher education sport rankings. After placing 43rd at the end of 2006/07, the University is now proud to be regularly ranked in the top 15 out over 150 institutions from across the UK in the British Universities & Colleges Sport League. NTU also boasts a higher-than-average sports participation rate among universities in the UK. Engagement in our programmes continues to rise, in 2015/16 circa 7,800 students participated; this year, we have welcomed over 10,000 - a third of our population. The Department supports 59 sport clubs representing over 4000 members each year. These clubs represent the University in regional, national, and inter-varsity competitions. All our teams play in the distinctive pink kit that set NTU Sport apart from the crowd.
As part of its support of individuals and teams NTU Sport's Department has an on-going requirement for the supply of a range of sports clothing (playing kit & leisurewear) and associated services to its various student sports club teams, Sports Department Staff and Students. The products supplied shall meet the high standards of quality and durability required for clothing that is to be used as high performing, professional, fit for purpose playing kit and leisurewear. Products shall be supplied in a range of sizes in the University's colours and shall include the University corporate logo, NTU Sport Logo and, where applicable, a sponsor's logo.
To fulfil the above requirement, the University is seeking a business partner who is able to provide the range of items, in the required sizes and to the required quality, and who can provide high levels of support and consistently demonstrate value added services and initiatives.
In addition to the University's Sport's Department requirements, the School of Science and Technology - Sport Science Department also require a large quantity of leisurewear annually. This requirement is included within the total spend published.
