Design Engineering and Prototyping consultancy services

Dx Tek is a medical device technology start-up developing an ultra-low cost diagnostic platform product, Pythia.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a creative design partner for industrial design and engineering support, with specific experience in medical device and Invitro Diagnostics (IVD) to help in the early stage development of our Pythia product platform.

Specific deliverables to be covered include, concept brainstorming, concept development, concept refinement with a focus on function, usability, sustainability, manufacture and assembly. A key consideration is that the work described above needs to mesh with the work currently being undertaken by our electronics development partner. We see the work package outputs being one or two fully resolved design and engineering concepts.

A second work package will involve the creation of a series of iterative prototypes to support the design and engineering development in the first work package above, together with the development and creation of any jigs and fixtures to aid assembly and testing of the prototypes and the production of a series of up to ten final prototypes of the 1-2 engineering concepts as looks like/works like prototypes to allow initial system integration testing.
