Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (Arden&GEM CSU) on behalf of the 4 Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Groups delivering the service for their patients (the service covers the patients of Lincolnshire West CCG, Lincolnshire East CCG, South Lincolnshire CCG and South West Lincolnshire CCG) are seeking expressions of interest (EoI) from suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver a Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) that is high quality, flexible and can meet, grow and respond to the changing needs of the Lincolnshire healthcare environment. The Commissioners require a service that is patient centric and cost effective and one that continually innovates to deliver value for money. Under consideration are contract terms of circa 5 years potentially with an extension option of up to 24 months. This is yet to be finalised.
To assist the commissioners develop a procurement strategy can we ask potential providers of NEPT service to respond to the questions below regarding the market engagement and contracting style? Procurement Options
Option A – 3 Lots
Lot 1 - Qualification through a telephony service. Pre-qualifying an individual’s use of the NEPT service.
Lot 2 – Booking / call centre for NHS staff and pre-qualified individuals to book the service Lot 3 – Scheduling logistics and delivery of transportation services, vehicles and staff
Option B – 2 Lots
Lot 1 Qualification telephony service, booking / call centre, scheduling logistics.
Lot 2 Delivery of transportation services, vehicles and staff
Option C – 1 Lot
Deliver a Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) for the patients of the 4 detailed Lincolnshire CCG’s.
