description

The primary aim of this project is to collect evidence on consumer attitudes and behaviour for the ‘Consumer Demand-Side Response’ Literature & Evidence Review, which will feed into the Smart Energy Team’s Call for Evidence.
This project will test and complement existing findings from the literature and evidence on consumer engagement with DSR (and with smart energy more generally), as well as explore new themes.
Existing studies and trials have either been limited in their questions or sample size; this project will allow us to ask questions on a range of relevant areas to a nationally representative sample.
Verify some of our findings from the social research.
Test some of our policy options/thinking on a wider audience.
Customer attitudes to some of the more tricky political questions (e.g. strong nudge on smart appliances).
