description

The Royal Borough of Greenwich and Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Group have redesigned its therapies service. A new Integrated Therapies service will be jointly commissioned that operates as a single structure.

It will provide leadership, co-ordination and delivery of the Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Services in Royal Greenwich. An essential part of Greenwich Children’s Services, it will make a major contribution to our Children and Young People’s Plan ambitions.

The service will identify additional needs early, build resilience and reduce health inequalities by providing effective targeted and specialist interventions for children with additional needs.

It will include the following:

Speech and Language Therapy Service from 0 to 25 years.
Speech and Language Therapy for young people known to the Youth Offending Service.
Speech and Language Therapy for the ASD Outreach Service.
Occupational Therapy for Education and Health purposes 0 to 25.
Occupational Therapy for the ASD Outreach Service.
Physiotherapy Service from 0 to 25 years.
Move Programme.

The commissioners will award a single contract to a single Provider. The appointed Provider will be expected to deliver the service from 1st September 2016 through to 31st March 2020. A further two year extension to 31st March 2022 will be available subject to the Provider satisfying KPIs outlined in the specification.

The estimated value of the contract will be within the window of £2.1m to £2.5m per annum. This value may increase or decrease over the lifetime of the contract subject to the availability of funding.

TUPE applies in this Contract.

The commissioners have identified social value benefits that are required from this contract. Therefore the Provider will be required to consider social value, as part of its Tender submission. In addition, the London Living Wage must be included in the Tenderer’s pricing model.

Additional information: The contract value is based on the original contract period plus the extension.
