description

Expressions of interest are sought for a mixed-methods research project focussing on the use of in-school units and nurture groups in English mainstream schools which are designed to improve behaviour, support social and emotional development, and support pupils at risk of being excluded (expelled or suspended). The project will entail quantitative and qualitative research to understand schools' use and implementation of in-school units and nurture groups across England, what they are designed to do, how they function and are resourced, and to gather an assessment of what 'good' looks like for different types of unit.

The findings from this project will be used to inform guidance and recommendations to schools on the use of in-school units.

It is anticipated that the contract will run for approximately 4 months, with a final research report required at the end of March 2020.

Deadline for Expressions of Interest: 23.59 Monday 11th November 2019
