description

NHS Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge Clinical Commissioning Groups, (BHR CCGs) may in the future wish to commission a Community Ophthalmology service and a Low Vision service with a view for the service to be in place by the second/third quarter of 2018. The Commissioners wish to consult with providers about their intended approach prior to commissioning the services and commencing a procurement exercise.

The services are currently being provided in the health economy from a number of providers using locations in each of the three boroughs for the Community Ophthalmology service and from one location for the low vision service.

This engagement will comprise Q&A's to gather feedback from providers on the draft specifications and cost of the service, the feedback may be used by the Commissioners to shape the way forward.

We would welcome a response from your organisation. As part of this Market Engagement exercise we are requesting bidders to complete a short questionnaire and submit it via the messaging system on the Pro-Contract portal (https://procontract.due-north.com/Login/) by Thursday 4 January 2018.

Please note this is purely a market assessment exercise to gather facts on potential providers and assist the CCGs with testing their assumptions and proposed service requirements.

Any future potential procurement, if undertaken, will be a separate exercise.
