description

NHS Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge and Havering Clinical Commissioning Groups, (BHR CCGs) may, in the future undertake a process to seek a provider to implement a Lymphoedema Service.

The new service will ensure users, many of whom have high risk conditions such as pressure ulcers and lymphoedema, will receive better patient care and improved long term clinical outcomes. The service is for housebound patients (where referred by District Nursing), patients registered with a BHR GP and those living in a care home or nursing home within the 3 boroughs.

BHR CCGs are proposing to commission a Lymphoedema service with a view for the service to be in place by the fourth quarter of 2018. The Commissioners wish to consult with providers about their intended approach prior to commissioning the services and commencing a procurement exercise.

This consultation will comprise Q&A's to gather feedback from providers on the draft specification and cost of the service.

We would welcome a response from your organisation. As part of this Market Engagement exercise we are requesting bidders to complete a short questionnaire and submit it via the messaging system in the Pro-Contract portal (https://procontract.due-north.com/Login/) by 13 March 2018.

Please note this is purely a market assessment exercise to gather facts on potential providers and assist the CCGs with testing their assumptions and proposed service requirements.

The subsequent procurement, if undertaken, will be a separate process.
