description
London Borough of Hillingdon has a awarded a call off contract for Community Equipment from 1st April 2023 for a period of five (5) years with a two (2) year extension option to NOTTINGHAM REHAB LIMITED (TRADING AS NRS HEALTHCARE).
The London Consortium has established a Framework for purchase of Community Equipment and services. Following a tender exercise a Framework Agreement was entered into between the Contracting Authority and Westminster Council by 1st April 2023. London Borough of Hillingdon is a member of the Consortium.
The Call Off contract from the Framework Agreement is between London Borough of Hillingdon and NOTTINGHAM REHAB LIMITED (TRADING AS NRS HEALTHCARE). The total value over 5 years plus optional 2 year extension period is estimated as £16,492,000.
The Community Equipment Service (CES) is an umbrella term that covers the following areas for children and adults:
Equipment loans service (ELS): This service supplies equipment ranging from raised toilet seats to electric profiling beds and hoists. With this service the equipment remains the property of the Council and is returned once the resident no longer requires it. It is then recycled (subject to infection control requirements) at no additional charge;
Minor adaptations: This provides adaptations to residents' homes, e.g., grab rails by a door or a toilet and/or bath, valued up to a set threshold; and
Door entry systems: These facilitate authorised access to the homes of residents where the resident is unable to directly open their front door because of a disability.
The scope of the contract includes the supply, delivery fitting/installation, adjustment, servicing/testing, collection, refurbishment, recycling and disposal of items of equipment.
