WASTE REFUSE AND RECYCLING SACKS

The London Borough of Hackney is establishing a 5 year term contract, with the option of extending for up to a further two years, for the requisition of various refuse sacks and other receptacles for the disposal of waste within the borough including domestic recycling, street cleansing, market & glass recycling waste.

The Council is seeking one or two experienced suppliers.

Additional information: The initial five (5) year term may be extended for up to two (2) years, in one (1) year increments, i.e. 5 + 1 + 1

The Council has a strategic responsibility to provide a clean environment for its local residents, businesses and visitors to the borough, as well as to maximise recycling.

The Council aims to provide a cleaner environment for local residents by distinguishing between domestic and commercial waste and recycling through the provision of coloured refuse sacks for the different types of waste to be contained and properly disposed of.

For the purpose of this procurement, our requirements have been split into two lots as follows:-

Lot 1: Plastic sacks

Lot 2: Other recycling receptacles (compo-stable liners (various sizes), reusable garden waste bags and reusable estates bags)

Lot 3: Plastic Sacks and Other Receptacles combined.
