94329 Stirchley Library External Refurbishment and replacement boiler works

Acivico Ltd, acting on behalf of Birmingham City Council, is seeking to appoint organisations for the External Refurbishment and replacement boiler works.

Overtime the building has shown signs of damp penetration and water ingress from defects to the roof and perimeter walls. There are also signs of delamination over basement lintels which require repairs.

Works generally entail carrying out localised repairs and apply coatings to restrain corrosion rates. Principal 7 preserving or restoring passivity and Principal 8 Increasing resistivity.

The boilers and control systems have also reached the end of their serviceable life and will require replacing

It is envisaged that all works will be carried out in one phase.

The Council will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
