description
LBWF has committed to resettle 10 refugee families in the borough. This commitment has been made as part of the UK government's 'Syrian Vulnerable Persons (SVPs) Resettlement Scheme'.
As part of this commitment, The Council wishes to ensure that there is sufficient support provided to the resettled families in order that they may live a good quality life in the borough.
The Resettlement Service as described here is designed to offer practical support to SVPs housed within the borough. They will be supported to manage their housing needs, access health services, learn English, look for jobs and integrate with the community. This service does not include the provision of housing.
