description
Teach First is currently reviewing the provision of instructional coaching and deliberate practise for our trainees and programme members. As part of this we are issuing this Request for Information (RFI). The purpose of this RFI is to allow Teach First to:
| - | engage with the market and understand the potential solutions that are available to meet the requirement |
| - | gain a greater understanding of specific suppliers' abilities, core business and strategic outlook |
| - | systematically identify similarities and differences between suppliers in the market |
| - | finalise our requirements |
Any resulting procurement will be conducted competitively. Teach First has no obligations, including to: go to tender; adopt any RFI information received from suppliers; enter a contract.
Description:
Teach First is exploring the market for a tool that will allow us to define a development framework for participants in our teacher training and leadership programmes that will support their development, facilitate training and track their progress against that framework.
The tool should allow Teach First to:
| • | Create a development framework against which participants in our teacher training and leadership programmes can be assessed |
| • | Define multiple points within the framework against which to identify training or development needs |
| • | Provide best practice examples for each development need that can be referenced by both the coach and trainee/programme member |
| • | Provide examples of activities trainees/programme members or coaches could undertake to progress them further |
| • | Allow for regular checkpoints against the framework (e.g. weekly/fortnightly reviews) |
| • | Record agreed next steps during the checkpoint |
| • | Allow the recording of an artefact against the next steps/development framework |
| • | Clearly show progression against the framework |
| • | Allow a coach to review the artefacts recorded against the framework |
| • | Monitor trainee/programme member progress, including those who are slipping behind, be alerted to this slippage, and provide progress data to a centralised tool that will report overall progression |
| • | Allow for objectives and plans that are outside of the development framework to be defined for users |
How to Apply:
Interested suppliers should complete the attached Response document and return this to ProviderContracts@TeachFirst.org.uk by no later than 17.00 on Tuesday 19 May 2020.
Following a review of the information provided, Teach First will contact you directly to discuss the opportunity with you further if your proposed solution meets our requirements. This may involve a virtual meeting and demonstration of your solution.
