MDT Refresh Programme

County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS) wish to engage with experienced emergency service vehicle installation providers to support a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) refresh programme.

The required services involve the removal of existing MDT hardware and their replacement, on 12 special appliances and 4 new installations with WiFi antennas, 16 in total.

CDDFRS require the installation to be completed by no later than 11th November 2022 CDDFRS will provide one bay at Bowburn Technical Service Centre for the removal and installation work. All hardware will be provided by CDDFRS

The hardware to be removed comprises:

• Motorola MW810 PCs
• Motorola MW810 Screens
• Redundant power and communications cabling

The hardware to be installed varies depending upon the appliance's existing equipment and comprises of the following of which:

CDDFRS will provide:

• Panasonic CF-33 Toughbook
• Havis docking station for CF-33
• Lindy power cable
• WiFi Antenna

Contractor to provide:

• Communications cabling to connect all the above including existing appliance printer
• Connection to Airwave SAN A Radio via supplied Havis dock.
• Pre and Post acceptance testing to be carried out by the contractor in conjunction with CDDFRS

An application pack with all relevant information including a fleet list with vehicle make/models outlining existing equipment will be made available to interested parties. It is strongly recommended that pre-installation surveys are undertaken by the Supplier.
