Introduction to the IF Group

The IF Group works to educate, evaluate and improve service support agencies and ensure that client lived experience is at the forefront of service provision planning and delivery. The IF Group works with partner organisations and charities to look at and improve support services for the Golden Key client group in Bristol including:

Homelessness;
Criminal justice;
Drugs and alcohol;
Mental health.

The IF Group’s vision, ideas and feedback have guided Golden Key from the start – from design and delivery to review.

1.The successful Tenderer (Service Provider)
1.1Will have local knowledge and experience in Bristol of working with people with experience of:
Homelessness;
The criminal justice system;
Drugs and alcohol;
Mental health issues.
1.2Will have people with lived experience in management and staff paid roles.
2.The Service
2.1An aspect of the service will include the provision of:
emotional support and reflection time - available for individual members of the IF Group on a one to one basis;
group reflection and support enabling the IF Group to build its strengths, maintain a healthy and supportive working culture to develop how it functions as a team and resolves any disputes;
guidance, advice, information and support in developing the right approaches and best practice in all areas of the IF Group’s work;
constructive feedback to individual members and the IF Group as a whole;
2.2The Service Provider must be able to
enable the IF Group to be visionary, bold, creative, outspoken;
enable the IF Group to develop its entrepreneurial spirit;
provide governance support, so that the IF Group manages its role and responsibilities, communications and relationships, with regular reviews of how this is working and plans for making improvements;
2.3The Service must include support for the on-going recruitment of new members, so that the IF Group benefits from fresh input and different contributions, and maintains its strength, diversity and capacity as people move on (the target number of IF Group members at any one time is between twelve and twenty);
2.4Second Step will welcome tender submissions that include innovative and creative proposals and methods for supporting the IF Group to achieve its aims and objectives.
