New Street Market Opportunity in Southsea 2018

Portsmouth City Council, 'the Authority', is inviting quotes for the provision of a market for the second weekend of each month in Palmerston Road shopping precinct in Southsea, Portsmouth. The market must offer something different to the existing market offer in Southsea.

The market must start by April 2018 at the latest and take place every month until the end of November 2018. Bidders can submit proposals for a market that operates for the whole weekend or just one of day, in which case the contract may be awarded to more than one market operators.

The contract will take the form of service concession which will require payment to the Authority from the successful operator/s.

This opportunity is for 2018 to align with existing market contracts in Palmerston Road which are due to expire at the end of 2018. A full re-tender process will be undertaken for the award of new contracts for Southsea during 2018.
