Grounds & Garden Maintenance Services

County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust requires a comprehensive garden and maintenance services for a number of its sites; this contract comprises the provision of all necessary labour, tools, machines, fuel and transport for the maintenance described in the Specification and Schedule of Work.

Background:

The Grounds Maintenance team provides high profile, highly regarded frontline services for the Trust. It is important that the grounds and gardens be carefully maintained to ensure an attractive living environment for anyone either visiting or working at our properties. It is also important that aspects of health and safety are regularly checked, such as broken limbs on trees or diseased trees; tripping hazards such as weed growth on footpaths are controlled; sight lines around hedges and shrubs and communal areas are maintained in a safe and tidy condition. The Specification defines the quality and standards of the service provision the service provider shall strive to not only meet but to exceed them and add value whenever possible.
