description
As a result of Early Market Engagement (EME) held in May, MOD have been assessing the RFI responses which are shaping their Couse of Action (COA). The chosen COA will drive the key requirements.
To support the key requirements, the MOD wishes to expand on the previous set of questions raised through Defence Sourcing Portal Dated 11/05/2021 and reference number 271128/957373 (Please see link to original DSP RFI) and to ask industry to answer the following questions for Cloud Scaling and Tennant Bulling.
After the instanton of the initial cloud offering can you describe the methodology on how MOD will request future uplift of cloud resources. This should include uplift of all elements of the cloud offering including compute, storage, backup, service wrap, additional rack space and network if required. The MOD would like to understand timescales to delivery, initial billing and ongoing support cost? In the event of downsizing of the cloud offering how will this be handled?
The MODCloud SECRET Capability will be made of multiple projects separated into individual tenants, can you describe how tenant usage can be monitored and therefore presented to the MOD in a form that can be cross charged to the individual projects?
The information provided in response to this request may be used to inform the options for conducting a possible subsequent competition. The provided information will not be used in the assessment of any proposal from Industry. It should be noted that all responses released in relation to this Request for Information (RFI) is released on a subject to contract basis, is subject to change and does not signal the start of a formal procurement process.
