New Forest District Council (NFDC) is undertaking Landscape Works to extend and enhance Bartley Park for informal recreation in accordance with New Forest District Councils Mitigation Strategy: Mitigation for Recreational Impacts SPD 2021 and Infrastructure Delivery Plan.
The project will develop and enhance Bartley Park Public Open Space, by the creation of the Bartley Park extension works (Area To1), including dog agility equipment, seating, new footpaths, fencing, planting, scrapes, ecological enhancements, and a boardwalk. The access points will be enhanced with RADAR kissing gates and the site will be brought back into positive management through clearing overgrown vegetation and encouraging a more biodiverse flora.
The extension works will include new pedestrian links to the existing park. Further footpath improvements will be carried out within the existing Bartley Park (Area To8), on land adjoining the proposed extension works.
