County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (the ‘Trust’) requires the provision of a high quality manned guarding service to be provided at Darlington Memorial Hospital. The service will include as a minimum the

provision of manned guarding, the security of NHS property and the personal safety of its staff and patients, monitoring of CCTV images and liaison with emergency services (please note this list is not exhaustive).

Organisations must demonstrate compliance with ISO 9001, BS7858-2012, BS7499-2013, BS OHSAS 18001 and BS5958-2009, be registered with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and comply with all aspects of the SIA Act 2001. Organisations must also be accredited the gold standard from NSI/NACOSS (or equivalent).

The Trust considers that TUPE may apply to this contract and details of those considered to be affected will be provided within the procurement documentation. It is recommended that organisations seek independent legal advice in relation to any TUPE transfer.

Additional information: The object of the contract described in this contract notice is for the provision of services falling within the Light Touch Regime of Schedule 3 to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015) and is therefore not subject to the full requirements of the PCR. Notwithstanding publication of the contract notice, the authority will not be bound to follow any particular award procedure, however the principles of fairness and transparency will be applied.
