The Forestry Commission will be awarding a framework agreement for marking and tariffing of trees on Forest sites, as part of our ongoing harvesting operations, across the Sherwood South & North Beats, part of Central England Forest District.

It is essential that procedures and conventions outlined in Forest Mensuration, a handbook for practitioners, Forestry Commission (2006) are followed during the work on this contract. This includes:

1)Pre tariff:
a)Area survey, Top Height and Volume Plotting (B6 plots)
b)Survey stand features to allow net area calculation.
2)Marking and Tariffing
a)Thinning - A4/A5 Abbreviated Marking & Tariff
b)Clearfell - A4/A5 Abbreviated Marking & Tariff
