FTP Industry Event June 2022 - Prior Information Notice
The Fuels Transformation Programme (FTP) has achieved Outline Business Case approval. Based on the concepts of capability management and driven by data, FTP will take full advantage of innovation to improve the agility and responsiveness of the Defence Fuel Enterprise (DFE).
To recap, FTP is tasked to:
- Develop the high-level concept to transform the DFE to deliver an optimized:
- odefence fuels estate;
- osupply chain (both on base and off base);
- omanagement organisation,
- with:
- oidentified accountabilities;
- oimproved information management and financial controls,
- and:
- olower cost of acquisition, storage, distribution and management,
- while:
- oinvestigating ways of increasing and developing sustainability in furtherance of NZ50 objectives.
Following Outline Business Case approval, as we move into the next phase of implementing our change initiatives, and developing the pilots and case studies, this is the perfect time for the Authority to provide industry with an update and outline next steps.
An industry event is planned for 10.00 on 28th June 2022 at which the Authority will share an update and brief on the progress, issues, challenges and risks within FTP. The Authority will also set out how it intends to engage with industry in the run up to submission of its Full Business Case.
It is not our intention to issue any further requests for information or engage with industry prior to the industry event.
The industry event will be held virtually, and the outline agenda (subject to change) is:
- Headline address by Brigadier Lee Daley;
- Programme update
- Change initiatives
- Commercial models;
- Way forward / process to Full Business Case
- Reaction / questions
