description
The government is introducing Regional Adoption Agencies (RAAs) to improve adoption services in England. There are 129 local authorities currently engaged in developing 18 RAA projects across the country. We have recently begun work with the remaining local authorities to develop their RAAs with their initial proposals due in the Department in December.
The programme in 2018-2020 will therefore continue to support the sector with the move to RAAs, by both supporting existing projects and bringing new local authorities in to the programme. It will focus particularly on sharing learning, developing RAA leadership, encouraging the sector to work together and focusing on best practice.
We want a delivery partner to work alongside us and the sector to make this transition happen and to ensure that projects embed good practice and improve outcomes.
