description

Gipsy Hill Federation schools are utterly committed to transforming lives and further enriching their community. They work very closely with the DfE, Lambeth and Southwark Local Authorities, to expand their primary school sites. A mark of the richness, excellence and determination of their community is validated by the Department for Education committing significant sums of money to build and create their new secondary school, Gipsy Hill School (opening September 2017). The potential for future growth of the Federation would require flexibility to incorporate any new schools into service delivery.

The successful tenderer will be required to provide cleaning services at the following participating schools located within the London Borough of Lambeth:

Kingswood School -Lower Site and Children Centre

Kingswood School -Upper Site

Paxton School

Fenstanton School

Crawford School

Elm Wood School.

Basis of Contract:

The schools listed above have joined together under the Gipsy Hill Federation to participate in a tender process with the intention of appointing a Contractor/s to deliver the cleaning services at each or all of the aforementioned schools. The contract will commence on 22 July 2017 for a period of three years on a fixed price per school basis or on a group fixed price, whichever delivers the best value individually or as a group.

The combined cost of the current group cleaning provision is estimated at 350 000 GBP per annum.

Objectives

The appointed Contractor/s will preferably be Corporate Members of BICSc and have significant experience of delivering quality cleaning services within school premises. The Contractor should have suitable experience and expertise of successfully managing the TUPE process and as a consequence be experienced at managing and willing to apply for Admitted Body Status in order to administer any transferring staff under TUPE that are currently within the LGPS.

The Contractor should also have a strong operational base local to the London Borough of Lambeth and be able to ensure adequate contract support and operational flexibility as and when needed across all and each of the participating schools.

Ultimately it is important that the Contractor can demonstrate an ability to deliver productivity and efficiencies through the application of best practice and innovation and as a result will be expected to deliver sustainable quality and 'best value' to all and each of the participating schools.
