description
The University of Bristol intends to re-tender its Skips Collection Services as part of a wider project of recycling contract renewals between now and February 2023.
The University has specific sites where materials are currently collected across the campus in the central Bristol area and Langford. There are 10 locations with different numbers and sizes of containers as well as different types of materials collected. The frequency of collections required at these sites varies, with some sites collected on a weekly basis while others requiring ad hoc collections (once the container is full). The types of materials collected include metal, wood, garden waste and general waste.
The University requires provision of suitable containers, collection and recycling and/or disposal services for the materials as well as access to a licensed waste transfer or disposal facility where materials can be deposited by the University using our own vehicles, staff and waste carriers license. The quantities of material collected on an annual basis are in the range of 150-200 tonnes a year.
We want to gauge interest from suppliers who have a presence (an operational base) in the South West region who would want to express an interest in tendering. All those interested should email their details to the contact email address shown in this notice quoting this notice title and reference number. The following details are required:
- Company name, address (in the SW region) & website URL
- contact full name
- contact email address
- contact phone number
Responses must arrive no later than: 12:00 hours (midday) on 8 November 2022.
