FENCING, PATHS AND LANDSCAPING WORKS AT VARIOUS SITES WITHIN CHELTENHAM - AWARD

CBH for their own housing stock and on behalf of CBC is procuring two 5 Year Contracts to deliver fencing, paths and landscaping work. These works will include: replacing existing items when they need upgrading or have reached the end of their life. The landscaping works will also include improvements to external communal areas for various blocks of flats located within the Borough of Cheltenham which are owned by CBC and managed by CBH. Also, properties owned and managed by CBH.

The landscaping Works to be provided under the Contracts have the aim of improving the quality and usefulness of external areas within property curtilages and thereby making them areas which residents will choose to use. This will be commonly achieved through:

• oImproving perimeter security
• oImproving external lighting
• oProviding improved bin storage
• oProviding improved clothes washing lines
• oFavouring soft landscaping over hard landscaping and reducing hard landscaping where practicable.
• oMaking the areas easier to maintain
